Counterfeit iPhone schemes have popped up several times over the last year, and now we have another one to add to that list. More than a dozen people have been charged in what is being referred to as “the biggest fraud of its kind.” The US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California announced today that at least 14 people played a role in a scheme that saw the conspirators import fake iPhones and iPads from China....

Hidden by the excitement of news of a Verizon iPhone yesterday was some more words from the analysts — and they’re predicting monster iPad sales in 2011, particularly as Apple preps iPad 2.0. Ticonderoga Securities analyst Brian White reports that Apple is developing a smaller version of its uber-popular iPad and suggests that sales numbers of the original iPad could reach 45 million in 2011.
